Cats and Kittens that need Re-Homing
We Need A Home!

Update on Jimmy
Jimmy IS a very special cat who needs a home, Look at this handsome guy now! remember how he looked when he came into our care? Most of his fur had fallen out, and his skin was sore and ulcerated. His coat has now regrown, and he's ready for a new home. His new owner will have to flea treat him every month without fail, as just ONE single flea could cause Jimmy's skin problem to recur.

Bagpuss - Donations welcome!
This poor shabby fellow is about 6 years old. He was spotted limping round a village in our area, and was trapped and taken to the vet. X rays showed serious injuries probably caused by an RTA. His pelvis is shattered, and his thigh is broken in two places. These injuries were not treated at the time, and the bones have fused badly displaced. He was in a lot of pain, so the most important thing was to get that under control. Routine blood tests also showed that Bagpuss is diabetic. This could well have been caused by the trauma of the accident. He really has been through it, hasn't he? At the moment, he's an in patient at the vets while his diabetes is being brought under control.Because of his problems, Bagpuss will stay on with the branch, in the care of Jane, the co ordinator.

If anyone would like to sponsor him or contribute towards his rapidly increasing vet bill, please get in touch.

Jerry
Another sad case, Jerry arrived aged 12 weeks with a serious untreated injury to his hind leg. This had become gangrenous, and was immediately amputated. As you can see, he balances well on his three legs, and gets around the house as quick as any of the four legged cats! This lucky guy has a home, where he is well loved and delights everyone with his magnificent purr.

Bottle babies
These four little darlings were abandoned by their mum when just 10 days old. They required bottle feeding every 2-3 hours and caused a lot of sleepless nights! However, they have grown into beautiful kittens, ready to go to new homes. There are a black male, a black and white male, a black female and a tabby female in the litter.

Harvey, Mickey and Sally
These three babies were abandoned in a box up a lane at Water Orton. They were just 3 weeks old-far too young to be away from their mother. They were all suffering from cat flu, and the two little boys have severely ulcerated eyes. It is likely that their vision will never be good, so they will need indoor homes. They will be ready to go to new homes in early December.

Anya
About 18 months old, Anya arrived with 4 of her grown up kittens. She's tired out after goodness knows how many litters of kittens. She's now been spayed, so no more kittens for her!

Caleb, Nancy and Lucy
These are three of Anya's kittens, all about 5 months old. None of them had been neutered, so the two girls were very lucky not to be pregnant.

Fran
Handed into our care due to a severely asthmatic grandchild. She's on 3 years old, and has been well loved and cared for, and will make a wonderful loving pet.

Myfanwy
Supposedly a stray, Myfanwy is a merry mischievous young cat who will settle well in a family home with children. She loves to play and chase toys. and as you can see, she loves her food!

Hayley
Just 1 year old, this little girl was abandoned at the vets. She has an old injury to her front leg, possibly from an untreated fracture. She doesn't seem to be in any pain, and chases around her pen like lightning! She's also very fond of her food!

Pansy
About 12 months old, this little girl is so nervous, we can't begin to imagine what's been done to her. Look at her laid back ears;- that's a classic sign of fear in cats. She needs a quiet home, without other animals, or children. Given time and space, we're sure she will blossom.
Success Stories…….

Ebony
Ebony has recovered well from the op to remove a surgical pin from her leg. Has now found a new home with Margaret, one of our branch members. She and Ebony keep each other company- it's a match made in heaven.

Floras Kittens
Flora, and her kittens All rehomed after the pictures appeared on the web site!

Beatrice and her kittens have all been rehomed thanks to the web site!

Zinnia Gentle nervous little Zinnia found a wonderful new home with a lady who is allergic to every colour cat except black. What is it they say about lucky black cats?

Little Joe
Remember Flora, who had the emergency Caesarean? Little Joe is one of her kittens. He was starved of oxygen at birth, and for a few days, we didn't think he would survive. He's now 13 weeks old, and doing well. He's still a tiny kitten, and his legs are a little wobbly, but he manages to keep up with the other cats in his new home. Remember Marcus? He and his brother Lucus recently found a new home thanks to the web site, and little Joe has gone to live with them. They all get on really well, and like to lie together on the best armchair.

Flora is doing really well now, and made a good recovery from her Caesarean. Her kittens, Charlie, Matty, Dougie, Joe and Katy are all thriving and gaining weight. Flora and one of the boys will soon have a wonderful new home, thanks to Tamcats!! A lady called Jane got in touch after reading flora's story, and offered a home to mum and one of her sons.
Due to the very low birth weight of the kittens, they may not be rehomed till they are 3 months old. A very happy end to what could have been a tragedy.

If you feel that you can give one of our cats the love and stability they need please contact us!
